Cherry read English at Bristol University before spending several years at Media Audits, analysing the effectiveness of advertising expenditure. Clients included Kelloggs, KP Foods, and Gillette, Milk Marketing Board, Dairy Crest cheeses.
In 1991, she moved to Publicis, the global ad agency, to co-ordinate PR activities for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute and the Consorzio di Prosciutto di Parma, who remains her client today.
In 1993 she set up her own consultancy, Brand Dialogue, and has been representing food producers with Protected Food Names and other certifications for over 20 years. The Dialogue Agency, now Brand Dialogue, also featured in The Director Magazine as one of the top 10 UK marketing consultancies for client loyalty.
